About Us
The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Sultanate of Oman established diplomatic relations in the year1981. Subsequently, the Sri Lanka Embassy in Kuwait was concurrently accredited to Oman while the Embassy of Oman in New Delhi was concurrently accredited to Sri Lanka. As a result of growing bilateral relations and people to people contacts, Sri Lanka opened its resident Embassy in Muscat in the year 1987, while Oman opened its resident Embassy in Colombo in 2013. The Sri Lanka Embassy to Oman is also concurrently accredited to the Republic of Yemen.
