Total bilateral trade turnover between Sri Lanka and Oman has been steadily growing in the recent past. Total trade turnover has increased from US $ 118.36 million in 2018 to US $ 223.31 million in 2022. Sri Lanka’s exports to Oman have reduced from US $ 16.53 million in 2018 to US $ 13.24 million in 2022 which is due to the export disruptions caused by the pandemic and economic situation in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka’s imports from Oman have increased from US $ 101.83 million in 2018 to US $ 210.07 million in 2022, due to increased sourcing of petroleum products.
Sri Lanka’s exports to Oman include fresh fruits, vegetables, coconut, tea, nuts and seeds, processed food, apparels, boards, panels, consoles, electrical and electronic products, transport equipment & parts etc. Sri Lanka’s imports from Oman include liquefied petroleum gas, petroleum products, light oils, chemical products, mineral or chemical fertilizers and edible fish products etc.
